These terms apply when you use the ArthaVibes app for Android. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app. “We” means the developer of ArthaVibes; “you” means the person using the app.
ArthaVibes is a personal income and expense tracker. It can read bank and payment SMS messages on your phone to add transactions for you (in the version of the app that asks for SMS access). Everything runs on your phone: the app has no internet access, no accounts and no servers. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information.
You must be 18 or older to use the app.
ArthaVibes shows totals, charts, budgets, forecasts and reports based on what is in the app. They are estimates to help you understand your own spending. They are not financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Check important figures against your bank statements before relying on them.
The app recognizes transactions from the wording of bank messages. Banks change their messages, and some messages are ambiguous, so the app can miss a transaction, read an amount or category wrongly, or count something that is not a transaction. You can review, correct and delete any entry. You are responsible for checking the entries you rely on.
Your data is stored only on your phone, encrypted. We never have a copy, so we cannot recover it for you. If you lose or reset your phone, uninstall the app or use Delete all data, your data is gone unless you saved a backup file (Settings > Backup). Keeping backups safe is your responsibility.
The app is free to use, with limits. On the free plan the app works with your last 30 days of transactions: lists, charts and totals show those days, and transactions can be added, imported, exported or backed up only for those days. Older transactions already in the app are kept, not deleted; they are shown again with Premium. The free plan also has limits on the number of budgets, recurring entries and custom categories. The app’s Premium screen shows the current limits.
ArthaVibes Premium removes the date limit and adds extra features, such as insights, PDF and Excel reports, unlimited budgets and recurring entries, and extra colors and icons. The list in the app’s Premium screen is the current one.
We may change what the free plan includes in a later version of the app, for example the number of days. Changes never delete your data, and they never reduce what a Premium period you have already paid for includes (section 11).

The price is the one Google Play shows before you confirm a purchase, in your local currency, including any taxes Google Play adds.
All purchases are made and paid through Google Play, under the Google Play Terms of Service. We never see your card, UPI or bank details.
If a subscription ends, is refunded, or a payment cannot be collected after Google Play’s retry period, the app returns to the free plan. Your data is not deleted. Transactions older than the free plan’s 30 days are hidden, not removed, and come back if you subscribe again. Budgets and recurring entries beyond the free limits are paused (kept, but not active) and come back too. Categories you already have stay; adding more than the free number needs Premium. Premium colors and icons return to the default.
Restoring a backup replaces all data in the app. On the free plan only the last 30 days of the backup are restored, so transactions that were hidden in the app before the restore are gone afterwards. Back up and restore with Premium if you need your full history.
The app checks your Premium status with Google Play on your phone. Premium keeps working while you are offline, for up to about a month for a subscription, until Google Play can confirm it again.

Using ArthaVibes gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app. The app, its name, icon and design belong to us.
We work hard to make the app accurate and reliable, but it is provided “as is”. We cannot promise it will always be free of errors, that it will recognize every bank’s messages, or that it will keep working on every phone and Android version.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by errors in the app’s figures, missed or misread transactions, lost data, or decisions you make based on the app. If we are found responsible for a loss, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the loss. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 in India.
We may add, change or remove features. If we change these terms, we will update the “Last updated” date above and mention the change in the app’s release notes. If a change reduces what a paid plan includes, it will not apply to a subscription period or lifetime purchase you have already paid for.
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
